IMPHAL, April 9: Mounting a verbal attack on sitting Member of Parliament from the Manipur Inner constituency, Dr Th Meinya today, Andro MLA Thounaojam Shyamkumar said that he would resign if anyone could prove that the MP had uttered a single word in Parliament during his entire time there.
He was addressing the flag hoisting program of Inner Constituency candidate of the Trinamool Congress at the candidate Sarangthem Inaobi’s residence.
Continuing his tirade against the ruling party in the state, he said the chief minister Okram Ibobi Singh has been at the helm of things for more than 12 years now and has been holding the Power department for long.
However, during his tenure, the state has been changed into a totally blackout state, he lamented.
People have been killed by break up of electric wires, he said.
Continuing his gibe against the sitting MP from the Congress, Th Meinya, he said today people of all sections of the society have rejected the MP.
He continued that TMC would win this election by more than 2 lacs voter.
Continuing his address, the Andro MLA further turned his tirade against the BJP.
He said, if Chaoba had been a frog, he would have long jumped into Nagaland, while jumping from one party to another.
Chaoba criticizes one party while he is at another, and then he will criticise the first after he leaves it to join the second party, Shyamkumar took a gibe at the BJP state president.
He said Chaoba is a demented person.
Oinam MLA, Dr I Ibohalbi said that the sitting MPs are using their MP Local Area Development fund in their election campaign, which is not a big amount.
The MPs are discussing the amount of the MP LAD fund which indicates their incompetence, he said.
It is very much the party’s good fortune that several sections of the society have identified Sarangthem Inaobi as their candidate, he continued.
Meanwhile, Sarangthem Inaobi in his speech continued blaming the Congress, BJP and CPI for all the problems created in the state during the past 60 years.
The 3000 year ancient history of the land has also been demolished during the past 60 years by the state’s MPs, he asserted.
He said he will solve the problems created by the MPs during the past 60 years within the next three years.
He continued during a recent discussion by a TV channel all candidates of the constituency were present, however, most were unable to provide proper answers to the questions raised from the crowd.
By 2017, when the railways would have reached the state capital, it would be all finished, however, the people still has atleast three years to protect themselves and implement the ILP, he added.
