IMPHAL, May 26: The All Manipur Arts and Culture Students’ Union (AMACSU) celebrated its 15th Foundation Day today at the JN Manipur Dance Academy, Imphal.
As part of the observation, the union also organised a ‘Khudolpat tamba.’
Gifts were presented to several experts of different forms of Arts and Culture such as Moibung khongba, Theatre persons, Wariliba Arangpham, Nata Eshei, Ariba Pala Eshei, Khol, Nata pung, Film artists, script-writers, Meitei Eshei, Folk Dance, Sumang Leela, Lairik Haiba, Pung, Manohar Sai eshei, Thang-Ta, Pungthinba.
JN Manipur Dance Academy, director, L Upendro Sharma attended the observation as the chief guest, Manipur Nat Kanba Lup, MNKL, president Ph Gunachandra Sharma as the guest of honour and AMACSU president A Madhusudon Singh as the president.
L Upendro Sharma said during the function that the main objective of AMACSU is to preserve and protect the arts and culture of the State.
He appealed to the parents of the state to cultivate in their children aesthetic, cultural and spiritual values, so that the youth will continue to preserve our rich culture which is rare and unique in the world.
Ph Gunachandra said that he is really thankful and appreciated for organising such a meaningful event.
He further appreciated the gifts presented to the experts and acknowledging their hard work.
He appealed to the AMACSU to keep up their good work and continue to preserve the rich culture.
