IMPHAL, May 18: Troops of 24 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under the aegis of HQ IGAR (S) established a check post on NH 102 at Tengnpupal and apprehended an MNRF cadre on May 17, said a PRO IGAR (s) statement.
The MNRF cadre was apprehended when he was travelling in a Maruti Van with registration number MN 01 X 2385 and heading towards Moreh, it said.
The arrested individual has been identified as s/s pvt Thotreichan Zimik, 27, son of SA Prem Zimik of Mapum, Ukhrul and has been handed over to the Imphal West Police.
It also said that the 41 AR of 10 Sector under the aegis of HQ IGAR (S) has constructed a Youth Hall cum Office at Huishu village of Chingai sub division under the Op Sadbhavana program
