IMPHAL, May 13: Five cadres of three different underground outfits were arrested by a team of Bishupur Police from different locations in the last three days.
According to reliable sources, a team of Bishnupur district police commandos under the supervision of Manjeet additional SP (Ops) Bishnupur arrested two cadres of PREPAK (pro) including a woman on May 11.
The team arrested Sanjaram Naocha alias Tombason son of S Basanta of Leirenjam Mayai Leikai from Utlou Chanura Bazar on May 11 morning and recovered a Nokia handset.
Sources also revealed that in a follow up action, a woman cadre of the same outfit identified as Oinam Kunjarani, 34, wife of O Mukesh of Bishnupur Ward no 1 was arrested from Bishnupur Bazar area the same day around noon.
Sources further said that the same commando team also arrested a cadre of the KCP (MDF) from his residence and recovered a Chinese hand grenade.
The arrested cadre is identified as Nandeibam Meghachandra alias Loya, 37, son of N Shamu of Leirenjam Mayai Leikai.
Two other KCP Lamyanba Khuman cadres including a woman were also arrested by the Bishnupur police commando team yesterday evening, informed the sources.
The two are identified as Laishram Raju, 27, son of (L) Rajen and his wife Laishram (o) Patti Devi, 25 of Lamlai Bazar. Both were arrested by the Bishnupur District Police commando from Lamlai Bazaar.
