KANGPOKPI, May 28: There is no profession which is too bad when one has the determination, interest and concentration, opined medical superintendent Kangpokpi Christian Hospital, Dr Hatzaw, before adding that it is very much important for students of today’s generation to choose the right profession.
He was speaking as chief guest at the valedictory function of a one week long Life Skills Education Camp at HM Hr Sec School, Keithelmanbi organized by the Nehru Yuva Kendra, Kangpokpi.
Around 40 youths from 20 villages including the host Keithelmanbi village participated the camp that started on May 22.
Today’s valedictory function was attended by Dr Hatzaw, MS, Medical Superintendent, KCH and Seikholet Singsit, secretary, HM Hr Sec School, Keithelmanbi as chief guest and functional president respectively.
Dr Hatzaw while cautioning the youth to be careful in choosing the right profession said that the interest and concentration of the students in their profession will contribute to the well-being of the society and the nation.
Emphasising on the significance of respecting the parents, Dr Hatzaw pointed out that the parents are the only way to gain God’s blessing, since there is no direct blessing from above.
Lauding the organisers and the host of the Life Skills Education Camp, he termed the camp ‘significant and unique’ since it can impart quality of life among the youths according to him.
Seikholet Singsit opined manners are the most significant lesson for today’s youth.
Gourakishwor Singh, DYC, NYK Kangpokpi said that the students were taught various important topics like community based activities on social issues, life skills-its concepts, needs and importance, critical thinking and creative thinking, decision making and problems solving were taught among many others topics by five resource persons during the week long camp.
He also expressed his profound gratitude to all the participants as well as the dignitaries so as to make the camp a success.
