IMPHAL, May 9: A combined team of Thoubal District Police commandos and 2 Assam Rifles conducted a search operation in the general area of Yairipok Bazar on May 8 and arrested an active PREPAK (PRO) cadre.
A PRO Police department said that during the search operation, a PREPAK (PRO) cadre identified as Longjam Sanjit Singh, 43, son of Longjam Manihar Singh of Yairipok Bazar was arrested near the Tata Magic Parking, Yairipok Bazaar.
It said a mobile phone handset with SIM card was seized from his possession.
A case has been registered at Yairipok Police Station and investigation is going on, it said.
