JIRIBAM, June 2: The foundation stone of a shrine of the diety Meetei Apokpa Marup was laid down today at Uchathol, Jiribam by president of the body Mutum Janmenjor Meetei.
Major contributors for the construction of the shrine include among others local MLA and minister of Forest, Law and Revenue, Th Debendra Singh, asst engineer, PWD Jiribam Subol Singh who was the architect of the shrine, BIPL, All Jiribam Fair Price Shop Rationing Agents’ Association, Phanjoubam Anubati, Uchathol, Thangjam manglembi, Leingangpokpi, etc.
