CHANDEL, June 3: Rank holder in the recently declared HSLC Examination 2014 conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur, Karung Chungneithang Kom, a resident of Litan village in Chandel district was felicitated along with three successful students of the village during a felicitation program today.
Karung Chungneithang Kom secured the 25th position in the recently declared results.
The felicitation program was jointly organised by the Litan Baptist Church Deacon Board and village authority here in the village.
During the programme, additional director of Eduction (S) M Lerte Kom, youth secretary of Komrem Baptist Church Association, rev Dr Pachung Serto and local pastor of Litan Church M Biren attended as the speaker, blessing minister and moderator respectively.
Karung Chungneithang Kom , who appeared HSLC from PR English Schhol Kakching was honoured for securing 25th position with 88.8 percent. He secured total marks of 98, 97, 88 and 87 in Mathematics, Science, Social Sciences and MIL i.e., elementary Manipuri respectively.
The other three successful students were Leivon Thanglenkhup, Serto Songneingir and Serto Monika, for passing out in first and second division respectively.
Principals of PR English School Kakching and Eureka Academy Thounaojam who were present in the service also spoke on the occasion.
Karung Chungneithang Kom while delivering a short speech in connection with his achievement dedicated his success to the Almighty God, parents and his teachers. He also honoured the pPrincipals and staffs present with a gift.
Chairman of KHULLIPTA Joint Area Committee on behalf of the people of this area while speaking on the occasion congratulated the successful students and presented a gift as token of appreciation.
Prior to the presentation of students by the organisers, speaker of the occasion M Lerte delivered a speeech followed by act of blessing administered by KRBCA Youth Secretary Rev Dr. Pachung.
