IMPHAL, Aug 3: The Maoist Communist Party, Manipur has postponed its August 5 general strike considering the present movement of the public led by the meira paibis, said a press statement of the outfit.
It said the general strike was called against the malpractices committed in the Agriculture department.
The statement has further claimed that the outfit triggered the bomb blast at the residence of Agriculture department officer Kshetrimayum Gopendro of Wangkhei Lourembam Leikai on August 1 night.
The outfit has also claimed another blast the same night at the residential gate of Social Welfare deputy director Ranjana Devi.
