IMPHAL, September 19: Four ambulances were handed over to the DCs of the three districts of Chandel, Churachandpur and Ukhrul by the Chief Minister on September 19 to be used for mobile health service. This move is a part of the scheme of Establishment of Mobile Heath Units in Border Area Development Program, 2011-12.
This was stated by the Chief Minister’s secretariat in a press release.
According to the release, the ambulances were sent off from the Office Complex of the Chief Minister.
Two ambulances were for the Chandel district, with one of them being Advance Life Support Ambulance, and one each for Ukhrul and Churachandpur. The ambulances also are equipped with basic life support systems, the release said.
The programme was attended by Chief Secretary, Lawmkunga, Planning Principal, Barun Mitra and Planning Head Officials also, it further said.
