LAMKA, September 26: The three day long public Information campaign (PIC) organized by the Press Information Bureau, Government of India concluded today amidst fanfare at the B.Vengnuam community.
The valedictory function was attended by the chairman of Autonomous District Council Churachandpur, Langkhanpau Guite, as the chief guest wherein he lauded the organiser and their accomplishment in spreading awareness to the mass.
The first session of the function began with the opening address by the co-coordinator of the campaign, P.Loitam followed by cultural program led by song and drama division of Imphal.
During the program the co-organizer of the campaign, directorate of field publicity, Vivek Khuranjan told IFP that as a component of the campaign an outdoor sensitization program was conducted for schools including the Rangkai Government Higher secondary school and S. Ideal high school of Canaan Veng Tuibuang, Lamka.
The campaign was a success as the students were briefed on different Government schemes particularly the PM Jan Dhan Yajna.
