IMPHAL, Sept 26: Elangbam Joy (42) S/o Elangbam Bamon Singh of Samurou Mayai Leikai was shot dead and abandoned his soul less body at Kshetrigao Sabal Leikai.
Mention may be made that Joy was a driver of Imphal West Commando vehicle (Rakshak).
Post mortem analysis of the body was done at the RIMS morgue this afternoon and thereafter the body was taken to his native locale for last rite.
It is learnt from reliable sources that Elangbam Joy was given 21 Gun salute from the contingent of 1st Manipur Rifles.
Family member told media he is survived by two daughters of 7 years and 5 years of age. His wife is also said to be pregnant for six months.
