CHANDEL, Oct 13: Soon after assuming office as the new deputy commissioner of Chandel, Ningthoujam Geoffrey held an interaction with leaders of several civil organisations of the district at the conference hall of the A-block Mini Secretariat today.
The CSOs present include Chandel Naga People`™s Organization (CNPO), Kuki People`™s Forum (KPF), Naga Women Union Chandel, Naga Students Union Chandel, Thadou Students`™ Association Chandel, Kuki Students`™ Organisation, Chandel, Area Chiefs Association of MACA, Tenoupal, Machi, chiefs of surrounding villages and Tribe Hohos.
The CSO leaders highlighted the various issues and problems confronting the district and assured the DC of full public support and cooperation to the officer.
After taking note of the highlighted area of focus shared by the leaders, the DC was optimistic of delivering transparent and accountable administration and services to the people of Chandel with due support and cooperation of the public.
The meeting which was organised by the Chandel district administration, Chandel ADC NI Kashung presided over. AC to the DC and SDO Chakpikarong Neilenthang Kom was also present at the meeting.
