IMPHAL, Oct 14: A 38-year old man suspected to have slit his own throat was found in a pool of blood late last night from a corner of his residential compound at Awang Sekmai Awang Leikai under Sekmai police station.
He succumbed after a brief struggle at the RIMS around 1am today.
Sources said Moirangthem Shyam son of M Amujao Singh had gone out of his house after having dinner without telling anyone where he was going.
However, after he failed to return for long, his worried family came out to look for him and found him in a pool of blood.
He was rushed to the RIMS but succumbed to his injuries.
His corpse has been handed over to his family after post mortem.
Meanwhile, a case was registered by the Sekmai police station.
