Policeman injured in Durga Puja blast out of danger

IMPHAL, September 3: The policeman who was seriously injured in the October 1 IED blast at MG Avenue is said to be out of danger.

The constable identified as constable 0601129 Ahongsangbam Milan, 31, of Bishnupur Kwaksiphai, was hospitalised at Shija Hospital soon after the blast with multiple splinter injuries.

The constable underwent a lengthy surgical operation today which lasted for several hours.

The operation is said to be successful and he is out of danger.

It may be noted that another policeman was killed while more than 20 civilians and the other police personnel were injured in the blast at a Durga Puja pandal.
