KANGPOKPI, November 28: All Tribal Students`™ Union Manipur (ATSUM) team led by Emboi Serto along with its constituent units met His Excellency Dr K.K. Paul, the Governor of Manipur today to submit a Memorandum to the Prime Minister of India to highlight the tribal issue.
Emboi Serto said that the student body had met the Governor in July and apprised him about the tribal issues and that their grievances have not been addressed by the government.
Anticipating a positive response from the government ATSUM leader asserted that the student body will not remain silent or tolerate the attitude of the government if their humble requests are not look into.
He said his organisation had already imposed a 12-hours total bandh successfully on November 27and if more such agitation are forced and untoward incidents result ATSUM must not be blame.
