IMPHAL, November 5: The Tribunal case under the 10th Schedule at the Tribunal Court of the Speaker of the Manipur Legislature Assembly regarding disqualification of five Manipur State Congress Party MLAs has been adjourned till November 25 today.
The hearing was re-fixed after the counsels of the five MLAs sought some more days to submit documents related to the case.
The five MLA Wangjing Tentha P Brojendro, Kangpokpi MLA Nemcha Kipgen,
Keirao MLA K Thamarjit, Sagolband MLA RK Imo and Tamenglong MLA
Jamhamlung Pamei, who have already merged into the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee, were also present during today’s hearing accompanied by their counsels.
Today’s sitting started at 10:30 am in the tribunal court at the new Assembly Secretariate Building and continued for 15 minutes
It may be mentioned that the five MLAs had merged into the MPCC along with the then party president on April 3, 2014 before the 14th Lok Sabha election.
