IMPHAL, December 14: Troops of the 24 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) apprehended one UNLF cadre at Sita Road junction check post yesterday, identified as Saikhom Bungba Singh alias Ashingba, 28, son of S Shyamkishore of Heirok part-III, under Thoubal District.
According to a release, the said cadre was arrested after getting specific intelligence report of UG cadre presence in the Sita area. Ganja worth Rs. 8000, one election identity card and a driving license were recovered from the apprehended cadre, later he was handed over to the Singjamei Police Station, it added.
