IMPHAL, December 6: The Bharatiya Janata Party Uripok Mandal has stated in a press release that it has opened its office on December 5 by taking two rooms on rent at the office building of the Uripok Lamboikhongnangkhong Mitra Samaj Farmer Service Co-operative Society Ltd.
The inaugural of the BJP Uripok Mandal office was graced by central district president AK Iboyaima Singh and was attended by 100 people, it added.
The Mandal has also thanked its active member Nameirakpam Nodiachand who was elected as an MLA of Uripok assembly constituency on an MPP ticket in the past for promising in writing that he would bear the rents for the two rooms for a year.
The press release signed BJP Uripok Mandal president N Purnachandra also expressed its gratitude to BJP (Media affairs) secretary Laifungbam (O) Lotika Devi for providing 10 chairs for the office, and Retd IPS officer Nunglepam Shyamananda Singh who represented the BJP in the last assembly elections for providing another 10 chairs and a table for furnishing the office.
It also expressed gratitude to the BJP workers who were present during the occasion.
