IMPHAL, Dec 5: The Caolition Against Drugs & Alcohol along with women vendors of Lamphel Super market conducted a drive against sale of alcohol in the area of Lamphel Super market today.
According to a statement of the CADA, the drive was conducted as part of its movement against sale and use of intoxicants in the State.
It further said that 10 litres of alcohol seized from one of the hotels was handed over to Excise head office Zone 1.
The seized item was also set ablaze in the presence of the women vendors, CADA president advocate Yumnam Ratan.
Further during the drive, CADA further appealed to the authorities concerned to look into the issue.
