IMPHAL, Dec 15: The Directorate of Transport, government of Manipur in view of the 58th Churachand Singh Memorial Football Tournament, 2014, which is to be held from December 17 to January 14, 2015, has issues traffic regulations to be followed during the tournament.
According to a release, all private transport operators of auto rickshaws coming from south of Kangla Road shall turn left towards M-Sector and exit through the old Library towards Nityaipat Chuthek via Museum Road, Governor Road and Governor`™s Road and onward to Assam Rifle monument, and then towards Singh & Co Oil Pump, Moirangkhom.
It said the timing of the specified route shall be operative from 9 am to 4 pm. From 4 pm onwards, the route shall be from Kangla Road towards M-Sector, Museum Road, Pologround Road, Governor`™s Road, Diamond Galli, Paona Bazar Road, Keishampat Nityaipat Chuthek, AR Monument and towards Singh & Co Oil Pump, Moirangkhom.
Further, it said no private vehicles will be allowed to park in and around Mapal Kangjeibung except vehicles with pass issued by the All Manipur Football Association.
