IMPHAL, December 18: A 10-day Winter Holiday Home Camp for students of Classes IV to VIII, organised by Beneficial Club, Meitram in collaboration with Manipur Commission for Protection of Child Rights (MCPCR), has commenced from December 17 with the formal inaugural function held on Thursday at the BCM Ground, Meitram Awang Leikai, Imphal.
According to a release, MCPCR chaiperson A Nabachandra and Kodompokpi Zilla Parishad Member Loitongbam Surchandra graced the inaugural function as chief guest and president respectively.
College of Social Work Principal Dr RK Romiobala, MCPCR member K Maharabi, MCPCR member Th Jaya and CSW founder Seceretary I Ibotombi were also present as guests of honour.
The Winter Holiday Home Camp will provide awareness on various social issues, child behaviour, parenting, Arts and Culture. Altogether 49 campers are participating in the 10-day home camp which will conclude on December 26.
