Family of deceased AR personnel wants help from govt

IMPHAL, December 6: Family members of an Assam Rifles personnel who died suddenly at the 5 AR Transit Camp in Dimapur, Nagaland on October 6, 2012, have appealed to the concerned authorities to provide a suitable government job to one of his family members under the Assam Rifles Act, 2006.

Rajkumar Saini son of (L) Mansha Ram was 52 years old and a havildar (no 56413A) with the 5 AR at the time of his death, claimed family members.

Speaking to the Imphal Free Press, family members said Rajkumar Saini is from Bhoranj Village of Hamirpur district, Himachal Pradesh and that he was proceeding towards the Dimapur Railway Station from his posting place at the Transit Camp, when he suddenly collapsed and died. He had joined the AR on June 10, 1981 and is survived by his wife Sarita Devi, two sons and a daughter, according to family members.
