Festival on tribal arts to be held at JNMDA

IMPHAL, Dec 14: The Eastern Zonal Cultural Center (EZCC), Kolkata an autonomous body under the Ministry of Culture, Govt of India covering the States of Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, Manipur, Odisha, Sikkim, Tripura, West Bengal and the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Island is one of the seven such zonal cultural centers set up by the Government of India with a view to culturally integrate the States and the UT with a view to national integration said director EZCC Dr Om Prakash Bharti.

He was speaking to media persons in a press meet held today at the Manipur Press Club, Imphal.

He further said that EZCC, Kolkata in association with Jawaharlal Nehru Manipuri Dance Academy, Imphal is organising a two-days Adi Bimb – Festival of Tribal arts of Manipur.

This festival, which will be conducted on December 15 and 16 at the JNMDA complex, will involved around 250 tribal artists of the State, he said.
