IMPHAL, Dec 22: In an unfortunate incident, a house was razed to the ground yesterday night at around 10.30 pm.
The incident happened at Silent village, Leimatak under Bishnupur District Loktak Police Station when a house was burned to the ground.
It was reported that the fire may have been caused by an electric short circuit.
A report from the police has stated that the house belonged to Seikhohao Kipgen, 35, son of Lhukhochung and worked as an employee at NHPC on contract. The house was of semi-pucca. The total damage to the property caused by the fire was estimated to be around Rs. 4.2 lakh.
A report was submitted to the police regarding the incident.
