IMPHAL, December 12: In a rare incident, a hunter accidentally shot himself in his left hand. The incident happened at Khongdel village under Tadubi Police Station, Senapati District today at around 10 am. The injured person was identified as Philips, 30.
The accident occurred when Philips stumbled and accidentally shot himself in the palm of his left hand with the gun he was carrying while coming from his house to hunt animals.
He was rushed to RIMS hospital where he was treated for the injury. Fortunately, his condition is not critical since the wound was not serious.
