LAMKA, Dec 24: The Kuki Students`™ Organisation, KSO of Churachandpur unit has expressed its resentment against the failure of the authority concerned to upgrade the Gandhi Memorial High School despite assurance given by the Education minister.
According to a release, the education minister, M Okendro during his last visit to the said school had assured that it will be upgraded. The circle MLA, TN Haokip had also endorsed the same for Sagang High School. It also recalled that during a delegation of the KSO on February 10, 2014, the Education minister had given the same assurance of school upgradation.
It said the student body takes serious note over the failure of the minister to translate his words into action. The authority concerned should publicly announce for such inaction within 10 days, it warned. If not, KSO along with other cognate student bodies will launch agitation, the statement added.
