IMPHAL, December 18: The international models here in the State capital for a fashion show met with a team of the Just Peace Foundation and showed solidarity to Irom Chanu Sharmila and their desire to support her movement, said event organiser Blue Wings managing director Kh Nishikanta.
The models from Slovakia, Brazil, Ukraine and Russia who will walk the ramp during the `Elegance of the Dancing Looms` on December 19, took a tour of the State capital accompanied by members of the organisers today.
The team campaigned along with volunteers of `Blooming Manipur`™ at Ima Keithel and planted flowers at the keithels and then visited the Kangla Fort for a little history briefing, he said.
Later in the evening, they conducted a final rehearsal for the fashion show and met with the Just Peace Foundation team who highlighted a brief background on Sharmila`™s movement against AFSPA, he said.
The models were also gifted a `Save Sharmila`™ T-shirts each by the Sharmila support group, he said.
