IMPHAL, Dec 10: The Manipur People`™s Party has condemned the Chief Minister`™s announcement of naming orange fruit produced in Manipur as Tamenglong Orange or Mandarin.
According to a release of the party, the party is against the alteration of the name since changing the name of the orange fruit
will not bring any difference in its value. The party has appealed to the Chief Minister not to make alteration in the name of the orange fruit as it may cause dispute between buyers and sellers, it said.
