IMPHAL, December 12: The Hill College Students`™ Union, Hill College Alumni Association and Tadubi Students`™ Union today has opposed the issuing of transferred order to the principal of Hill College, Tadubi, Dr. A Surenjit Singh and demanded the transferred order must be cancelled.
Speaking at a press conference held at Manipur Press Club by the General Secretary of Hill College Students`™ Union, L. Athikho Kayina has said that the transferred order which was issued to him on December 11 was in the peak of the BA semester examination.
He further said that there are various factor in support of the legitimacy of being the principal of the Hill College and therefore the transferred order should be immediately cancelled.
With the emergence of Dr A Surenjit Singh as the principal of the college since 2011, there has been increase in the academic atmosphere of regularity and punctuality in the college as compared to the tenure of former principal in the college.
He further said that Dr. A Surenjit is highly capable and dynamic in the administration of the college and also quick-witted and efficient in providing cooperation with the students as well as the staffs of the college.
