UTLA/KNO clarifies it has no hand in railway officials kidnapping

LAMKA, December 12: The United Tribal Liberation Army (UTLA/KNO) has clarified in a statement signed by its in-charge of IPR, Franky Singson that the group is not related with the kidnapping of engineer Shiv Singh Rana and Sanjiv Bhera surveyor of the Northeast Frontier Railway.

It further said that the UTLA/KNO is blamed by the Centre and State governments apart from the people of Jiribam and its area. The release added that the organisation was never involved in the kidnapping of the two officials of the rail line construction as they adhere to the ground rule of SoO.

It said that the kidnapping may be the handy work of some group or gangsters who are oppose to peace, before adding that UTLA/KNO is ready to give logistic support to the law enforcing agencies to find out the culprit.

Further the release said UTLA/KNO will not tolerate any false accusations in the future. It maintained that the group is vulnerable to such accusation as they are given designated camp by the government.
