IMPHAL, January 15: Manipur Alliance for Child Rights and Human Right Alert today joined other organisations of the world by launching the world-wide Action 2015 campaign in Imphal today.
The formal launch function was held at Manipur Press Club with children of 15 years and below participating.
The world wide `action 2015`™ campaign aims to end inequality, injustice and insecurity in the world.
Speaking at the launch function, MACR convenor Keisham Pradipkumar said the campaign is being launched in more than 50 countries including Lebanon, Liberia, Nigeria, Norway, South Africa and Sri Lanka with 15 year old children fully participating.
In the national capital the campaign is being inaugurated in the presence of a large congregation of children and other young members of CSOs with Union Minister of Minority Affairs Najma Heptulla in attendance Pradipkumar said.
At the same time, groups of 15-year-olds are meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj and the political heads in 15 States including in Manipur he said.
He continued that six children from the State will be shortlisted to join a country wide congregation at the national capital on `action 2015 from January 25 to February 2.
