IMPHAL, January 18: At least one personnel of the AR was reportedly injured when militant suspect ambushed a camp of the 44 AR this morning at Nambisa, Ukhrul district, barely a day after the attack on a patrolling team of 2 JKLI that injured a civilian.
According to reliable sources, the attack reportedly taken place around 7 am. The camp was situated near the Indo-Myanmar border under Phungyar sub-division.
When IFP contacted Ukhrul district police, it has been informed that there was no instance of any attack.
However, the proscribed People`™s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK-PRO) faction, in a statement has claimed that it had launched an attack at the camp of 44 AR located at Nambisa this morning around 7.
The statement signed by Melei, senior publicity officer of the outfit, said that the attack was launched by a team of the outfit`™s Cobra task force (2).
It further owned the attack carried out on patrolling team of 2 JKLI yesterday at Ngangkha Lawai Bishnupur district.
