CM chairs special review meeting on infrastructural development projects in state

IMPHAL, January 22: A special review meeting on developmental projects and infrastructural developments taken up in the state was conducted today at the Chief Minister`™s official chamber in his bungalow.

According to a source, the meeting which went on from 2 pm to 4 pm was chaired by Chief Minister Okram Ibobi and attended by the council of ministers and top officials of various departments.

The meeting reviewed the status of the constructions of the Tribal Areas inclusive growth infrastructure projects phase-I and II and District Sport Complexes in the district head quarters under SPA/NLCPR, all being constructed by MDS except the District Sports Complex in Churchandpur which is being constructed by MTDC.

In the meeting, the MDS project director and MTDC managing director made power point presentations to show the present status of the projects and discuss the difficulties faced in developing the projects specifying the reasons for the delay in the completion of the projects.

A brief note on the overall progress of the projects has been prepared for submitting it to the Planning Department well in advance before presenting it to the Chief Minister, a source said.
