THOUBAL, Jan 25: In an unfortunate incident, a cyclist died in an accident when two vehicles, a Verna car and an Auto Diesel collided and one of the vehicles deflected and hit the cyclist today at around 5.45 am.
The incident occurred at Thoubal Wangmataba Devi Mandap, National Highway. The cyclist was identified as Yumnam Ingocha, son of (l) Mani of Thoubal Haokha Mamang Leikai. He was rushed to Thoubal District Hospital, however he died on the way. The two vehicles, Auto Diesel Passenger Vehicle MN 01B-6635 servicing from Thoubal to Yairipok and the Varna car with register number CH 08S-2713 collided when the car suddenly took a turn which caused both the vehicles to collide. The impact caused one of the vehicles to flip which landed on Y. Ingocha who was coming towards Thoubal Bazar. He was a dumper driver.
