JIRIBAM, January 3: The six-week long Entrepreneurship Development Programme on food processing concluded today at the common facility centre of Chingdong Leikei, Jiribam.
The EDP on food processing was organised by Human Resource Development Institute of New Checkon, Imphal and sponsored by the State Commerce & Industries department under the National Mission on Food Processing.
The valedictory function was attended by Jiribam Block Development Officer (CD Block) Md. Ashraf Ali, Chingdong Leikei Meira Club president Ch. Romen Singh and Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Jiribam president Dr. A. Gouramani Sharma as the chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
HRDI secretary Ksh. Biren Singh in his key note address stated that developing the skills of food processing among the unemployed youths will be effective in bringing changes in the industrial sector in Jiribam as well as generate employment opportunities for people if the trainees apply their skill in food processing.
Certificates were distributed to all the participants of the six-week Entrepreneurship Development Programme on food processing at the end of the programme.
