UKHRUL, January 8: With the deadline set for covering households under PMJDY fast approaching, SBI Ukhrul is now working hard to chalk up its final data of the flagship program.
According to SBI, Ukhrul branch manager Rameshwar, the government has set a deadline of January 17, 2015 for completion of final data of PMJDY.
“With the deadline approaching, we are pressing our business correspondents for finalizing the data from their respective areas of coverage including Chingai, Jessami and Ukhrul so that we can despatch the same to SBI, Guwahati before the deadline, ” he told this IFP correspondent.
He further informed that since the opening of the scheme in August last year, SBI Ukhrul has so far enrolled a total of 7648 households from across the district, adding that the bank is continuing its routine enrollment of new beneficiaries till January 17.
Meanwhile, a section of the public has complained that UCO bank has continued to put off new enrollment under the scheme even as the deadline set for the same is only a few weeks away.
