BISHNUPUR, Jan 12: A two day long 2nd get together programme of Songthu, Sampar, Chaithu, Karong, Kilong Phung Organization Manipur (SCKPOM) commenced at Nungshi Chiru village, Sadar Hills today.
The programme was organized under the theme `how good and pleasant when brothers live together in unity.`
The opening ceremony was attended by K Lenjamang, (Retd) DI of school; Kh Rengtokung, former CTUM; Khupsong Aimol, social worker; Th D Rengtothang, chief of Nungshai; Sk Lenkhohao, ETS secretary Motbung as chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.
K Lenjamang said that this get together programme is very important in order to maintain the brotherhood of the five tribes who derived from the same clan. This will strengthen the unity among these tribes and will support each other in times of needs.
Cultural shows and dances, sharing of lunch were the main highlights of the day.
It may be mentioned here that SCKPOM family inhabits in 76 different villages in Manipur with a total population of around 4432 till date.
