IMPHAL, January 14: The Umanglai Kanba Apunba Lup has said that the Tripura Government has listed Meitei Umanglai Haoraba as one of their state festivals and has granted permission to establish Manipur State House at the complex of Lainingthou Puthiba at Abhainagar, Agartala.
According to a release from the Lup, the Tripura government also gave financial aids and various other supports in the establishment of the Guest House. The Lup along with the Meiteis residing in Tripura expressed gratitude towards the Tripura government for the support. It also expressed gratitude towards Pangamba Bobo of Yairipok Keithel, Soraisam Gopeshwore of Mekola, T. Mangibabu, Thiyam Dilip Meitei, Zilla Parishad member, Nachou, K. Bante (SDO), Moirang, DESAM, International Modernised Academy, Konung Mamang, Pukhrabam Ingobi of Kongba Nandeibam Leikai and Sanasam Bira, MLA of Kumbi for providing financial aid in replacing the items stolen from the complex of Lainingthou Puthiba, it said. The Lup also appealed the people to provide further help in celebrating Umanglai Haorab held outside Manipur, it said.
