IMPHAL, Feb 20: Narcotics and Affairs of Border Police Station, in co-ordination with District Police Ukhrul and 16 Assam Rifles destroyed illicit poppy cultivation in Ukhrul district on February 19, a Police release said.
The combined team destroyed about 20 acres of illicit poppy cultivation in Lamlai Chingphei Mahadev and Poraokot Thawai Kuki areas of Phungyar Sub-division in Ukhrul District, it said.
A case has been registered at NAB/PS and investigation is going on, it added.
