IMPHAL, February 19: Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, Manipur Pradesh is targeting to provide proper medical care to people where there is a lack of medical facilities in various places of Manipur, stated BJYM president Oinam Malesh.

As a part of BJYM`™s free medical camp today at the Langthabal Lep Mayai Leikai Seram Lampak, O Malesh said after conducting a proper survey, BJYM has taken up various free medical camps in which people can get free medical check-ups at their door-steps.

Today, BJYM is conducting free medical camps at Langthabal Lep after conducting such free medical camps at Khombong village and Hiyangthang village.

He further said that the BJYM will also continue with such free medical camps even in the hill districts and remote villages of the valley. In today`™s free medical camp, more than 300 people including both men and women were medically checked to detect any health problems through the two mobile medical unit vans of the National Rural Health Mission.

The BJYM`™s free medical camp was held in collaboration with District Health Society, Imphal West. The medical team has around seven doctors. A volunteer of the Pioneer club in Langthabal Lep Mayai Leikai said that such kind of medical check-ups haven`™t been conducted in the last many years in Langthabal Lep. But today, the BJYM under the guidance of Oinam Malesh has conducted a free medical camp about which the Langthabal people were indebted, he added.

He further said that most of the people are daily bread earners in the area and they faced financial problems due to which they can`™t afford to get their health checked. But it was their good fortune that a fully-equipped medical team has came to their own door to provide such free treatment, he added.
