IMPHAL, February 15: The Joint Student Coordination Committee (JSCC) and Catholic Educational Society have unanimously agreed to conduct lottery for admission in the schools in a free and fair manner said Thiyam Naresh, JSCC member.
Speaking at a press conference held today at the Manipur Students`™ Federation (MSF) office, Thiyam Ramesh informed media persons that a meeting was held at St Joseph`™s school on February 13, 2015.
During the meeting, the JSCC was represented by Premananda (KSA), Naresh (AMSU), Nandababu (MSF), Sanjay (AIMS), Birchandra (DESAM) and CESM was represented by Fr Paul Lelen Haokip (director), Fr Joy Kurian (secretary) and Fr Jiten Hubert (member) and Indubhuashan (PRO) he said.
Thiyam Ramesh further stated that CSEM has considered to conduct lottery for admission to class 1 in the academic year 2015 (January to December) in St Joseph school (Sangaiprou), Little Flower School (Sangaiprou), Catholic School (Canchipur), Nirmalabas (M G Avenue).
He further said that during the process of the admission procedure (lottery), requests or recommendations from any student organizations or other organizations will not be entertained under any circumstances and that the JSCC has ensured to support and defend the schools in case any individuals or organsiations seek admission other than through the agreed procedure he added.
JSCC has also agreed CESM to reserves to itself its right of admission for Catholic students, immediate neighbourhood students and School Employees`™ children.
The committee also appealed all the four schools authorities to complete the admission procedure at the earliest, he said
The JSCC has also set flying squads to check exam centres of the upcoming board and council exams, he said.
He also appealed all the security forces and the teachers to support and cooperate during the examination.
JSCC also wished all the students appearing in the upcoming exam to give their best and come out with flying colors.
