DM College students call off class boycott

IMPHAL, February 27: Volunteers of the Joint Students`™ Union of DM College damaged the computer room and administrative room of the Engineering cell as well as a car parked outside today as a part of its agitations against the non-repair of roads inside the DM college campus.

Volunteers of the Union smashed computers and printers of the EE division 1 and 4, and broke the windows of the administrative room and its almirahs as well as the front glass of an Alto car bearing number MN-03P-0887.

Speaking to the media, JSU coordinator L Sanatomba said the Education (U) commissioner Arthur CW and Joint Director Education (U) T Ojit arrived and assured to start the construction from evening while also apologising for damaging offices of engineering cell and breaking the front glass of a car.

He also said that members will not stop its protest until they have seen that equipments were deployed for construction as assured by the Commissioner.

Meanwhile reliable sources have said that two truck of stones for the road repair arrived this evening after which the JSU has called of its class boycott and from tomorrow onwards normal class will resume.
