IMPHAL, February 27: A man who has been making sexual advances by pretending as a blind man was nabbed by the Meira Paibis of Kakching Bazar and handed over to the Manipur Student`™s Federation this morning.
The miscreant has been identified as Ngangom Santikumar, 34, son of Ng Yaima Singh of Mayanglangjing Mayai Leikai.
Speaking at the press conference at the MSF head office, its general secretary Bidyaraj Maibam said Shantikumar has fooled many people especially women by pretending to be blind and has been asking money from people in the name of a fake organisation for the disabled.
Bidyaraj Maibam told media persons that after the MSF made a confirmation that Shantikumar was not blind after contacting Ideal Blind School.
He further stressed that Shantikumar has two wives and has been fooling people in various places such as Thoubal, Sugnu, Mayang Imphal, Kakching etc.
MSF also appealed to the people of the State to be cautious of such bogus people and refrain from help them without knowing their actual identities.
