IMPHAL, February 26: The question set for Geology paper, in the examination conducted on February 22 by MPSC for the recruitment of Lecturers in Government Higher Secondary Schools, has been found directly copy pasted from the internet.
This was claimed by DESAM president M Angamba speaking to media at a press conference held today at its office at Keishampat.
The student leader pointed out that 20 questions were directly copy pasted from UPSC exam question sets and 40 questions from University of Wyoming for the said Geology paper.
The big question is who was given the task of preparation of the question sets, the student leader questioned.
`What is the value of such exams if the questions are simply copy pasted from the internet that had already been asked or used?` he questioned.
There is a strong suspicion of corruption in the recruitment process by MPSC authority, he maintained.
He also pointed out that according to the National Council Teachers Education (NCTE), it is mandatory to have B. Ed along with a Master degree to apply for the post of Higher Secondary lecturer. However, MPSC has set their own rules breaking the norms of NCTE, he added.
The student leader has also strongly urged the government to form an enquiry committee to look into the matter at the earliest.
