IMPHAL, February 19: Over 500 consumers of Tamenglong district head quarter today convened a meeting at the Jadonang Park against non distribution of gas cylinders for the last two months.
The meeting also deliberated on the price hike of gas against the Government fixed rate, charging of Rs 100 per consumer for changing of name by the sole distributor of LPG, M/S Thomson Indane.
The gathering resolved and formed Tamenglong domestic LPG Consumer Welfare Association under consumer club, Tamenglong Manipur Branch to look after the grievances of the consumers.
Further the association appealed the consumer to register in the said association and fight for the consumer rights.
