IMPHAL, Feb 27: The man arrested from a house in Dhaka`™s Mohamedpur on February 11 at about 10pm, Keithelakpam Nabachandra alias Shilheiba, son of K Kalamohon Singh, has remained untraced till date, 15 days after his arrest, said the Soibam Leikai (Awang) Meira Paibi Chaokhat Thourang Lup, in a press release today.
The release said, Nabachandra was picked by four or five unidentified people suspected to belong to Indian Intelligence and Bangladesh black uniform police on the assurance he was needed for some talks and that he would be released after three days. This promise remains unkept, it said.
The release appealed to the concerned authorities to produce the arrested man before the public safe and sound in keeping with the universal norms of humanitarian law, just as he was arrested in public.
It also appealed to the arresting authorities to bring the arrested man to trial as per the law and if found guilty to award him penalty as per the law.
The release also appealed to all conscientious citizens and societies to extend their support in having the arrested man produced before the public unharmed.
