IMPHAL, February 22: Miscreants set on fire the Akash Higher Secondary School, located at Ghari this evening barely a day after an arson attack at theCentral Institute of Science in Keishamthong Hodam Leirak. Both the schools are affiliated with the CBSE.
Reports said that today`™s arson attack occurred around 4pm. The fire gutted four class rooms including 20 desks, 20 tables and warden room.
However, timely arrival of the fire tender prevented the fire from further engulfing the school building.
Meanwhile, it has been reported properties of a handful of schools affiliated to CBSE in greater Imphal area were also dismantled by miscreants.
