IMPHAL, Feb 23: A combined team of Bishnupur District Police Commando, 2/5 GR, 6 Assam Regiment and 34 Assam Rifles conducted search operation at Bishnupur Bazar and arrested one active member of PREPAK (Pro) organisation on Feb 21, a Police release said.
The arrested person has been identified as Mairembam Iboyai Singh alias Taojinghan alias Suresh, 29, son of M Modhu Singh of Moirang Khunou Maning Leikai, presently staying at Bishnupur Bazar Ward No 4.
Investigation revealed that he was involved in transportation of arms and ammunition for the organization, it said.
A case has been registered at Bishnupur PS and investigation is going on, it further added.
