TSA Imphal expresses discontent over locking of mission schools

IMPHAL, Feb 11: The Thadou Students`™ Association Imphal has expressed its discontentment over the incident where some valley based students organizations had locked the doors of various mission schools in Imphal.

The student body said that the interference and involvement of JSCC is very unfortunate and appealed the concerned student organisation to withdraw its standpoint in this matter.

A press released signed by its president TSA Imphal Thangminglien Haokip urged JSCC to refrain from any activities that could disturb the academic atmosphere. He went on to say that the decision taken up by the school board must be respected by all at any cost.

The norms and rules followed by the Board in the admission process would be final decision, it mentioned.

If the JSCC always continued to interfere in such kind of activities the people of Manipur would view all student organization wrongly. Besides these, the contribution of various mission schools in our state is praiseworthy and hence we have to give co-operation in the interest of the students, it said.

The statement also added that creating of problems related to education should not be taken lightly and the issue could become worsen and more sensitive. It is worth mentioning that the education system in the state was improved rapidly after the establishment of Catholic run schools.
